Sharjah Police announced the confiscation of narcotics with a combined estimated value of Dhs392.8 million during the period from 2023 through 2025. The seizures included 11,551,206 psychotropic substance tablets and 3,386,901 grams of illegal drugs. Authorities also apprehended 4,757 individuals linked to drug-related offences across the three-year span.

The figures were disclosed during an operational review by the Sharjah Police General Command. Lieutenant General Abdullah Mubarak Bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, stated that the UAE has built an advanced framework for shielding society from drug-related harm. He credited the country’s wise leadership and its resolve for establishing an integrated national system that merges deterrent laws with prevention, awareness, and community engagement.

The statistics reflect sustained security work to monitor and pursue those involved in trafficking, promoting, and abusing narcotics, according to the force.
