Authorities in Dubai have appealed to residents for assistance in identifying a dead man whose identity remains unknown.

The remains were located in the area covered by the Ports Police Station. Officers noted that the man was not carrying any documents, and no reports of a missing person matching his description had been filed.

The body has been sent to the forensic medicine section of the emirate’s crimes and forensics agency for testing to determine how the man died.

Members of the public who might know the individual or possess related clues are asked to phone the Dubai Police Call Centre on 901. Those calling from outside the emirate should use the number +971 4 901.

Law enforcement officials have also released an image of the dead man to aid recognition.
