Dubai Police identified and blocked 297 websites promoting narcotics online during the second quarter of 2026, dubaieye1038.com reports, as part of an intensified campaign against drug trafficking.

Officials disclosed that 125 intelligence leads were shared with international partners during the same period, enabling authorities to track suspects beyond UAE borders in a coordinated cross-border effort to disrupt trafficking networks.

The figures were reviewed at a second-quarter performance meeting of the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, chaired by Major General Hareb Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Affairs.

Senior officers said the force is continuing to expand its use of technology to target trafficking networks and curb the spread of drugs across Dubai and the wider UAE. Major General Al Shamsi commended officers for what he described as strong operational performance, and reaffirmed the department's commitment to training and international best practices.

On the prevention side, the Hemaya International Center delivered 95 awareness programmes during the quarter, reaching nearly 467,879 people. Social media campaigns connected with more than 8.72 million users over the same period.
