The notification came from the Anti-Fraud Centre, operating under the emirate's General Department of Criminal Investigation, as part of its continuing #BewareofFraud outreach effort. Investigators say offenders are leveraging online channels to draw in targets with flashy promotions and premiums that seem impossibly low.

Per official statements, perpetrators post deceptive ads designed to manufacture urgency. Those who respond are typically pressed to wire money immediately, without confirming whether the seller holds a valid permit to operate inside the UAE. Frequently, the supposed policy either fails to appear or proves worthless.

Law enforcement stressed that genuine insurers function within a tightly regulated framework and adhere to established protocols that shield consumers. Offers that stray from ordinary pricing structures or guarantee immediate, unconfirmed documentation should raise suspicion.

The public was advised to confirm the credentials of any firm or intermediary through recognised official sources prior to parting with funds. Engagement with dubious promotions promising extraordinary bargains should be avoided.

Suspected attempts at deception can be flagged without delay via the Dubai Police eCrime portal, or by dialling 901 for non-urgent matters.
