More than a quarter-million amphetamine tablets were seized and an entire trafficking ring was apprehended following a joint law enforcement effort between the Emirates and the Kingdom, as reported by The National.

The UAE's National Anti-Narcotics Authority, together with Dubai Police headquarters, partnered with Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior and its narcotics control directorate. State news agency Wam disclosed that the crackdown relied on advance intelligence.

Officials stopped the consignment before it reached distribution channels. Every suspect linked to the network was detained. Those arrested are nationals of various Arab countries.

The anti-narcotics body emphasized that breaking up such operations and cutting off trafficking channels highlights the effectiveness of combined efforts, on-the-ground monitoring, detailed tracking, and smooth data sharing with partners across the region and beyond.

Saudi Arabia's drug enforcement agency stated that this action forms part of sustained bilateral collaboration aimed at confronting the danger posed by illicit substances and bolstering both preventive and punitive measures.
