Saudi Arabia's anti-drug directorate passed on actionable intelligence that helped their Emirati partners intercept a sizable load of banned stimulants before it could enter the United Arab Emirates, officials in Riyadh disclosed.

The haul consisted of 267,300 amphetamine tablets. Brigadier General Talal Shalhoub, who handles public security communications for the interior ministry, explained that agents had been watching the trafficking ring for some time and acted once the moment was right.

He described the outcome as proof of the strong operational ties between the neighboring countries' police forces. Both sides routinely pool resources and swap information when hunting down narcotics gangs that operate across frontiers, he noted.

Shalhoub also underscored that the government would keep up its campaign against criminals who try to hook young residents on illegal drugs. Law enforcement, he promised, will stay vigilant, break up future schemes, and lock up offenders to keep neighborhoods safe from substance-related harm.
