Ras Al Khaimah Police have arrested two young men, aged 18 and 20, for performing dangerous vehicle stunts in an area of the emirate, Google News UAE — Sharjah/Ajman/RAK reports, citing a police statement.
The reckless behaviour placed both the suspects and other road users at risk, authorities said. Relevant departments flagged the incident, prompting specialised police teams to open a formal investigation.
Officers conducted search and surveillance operations before successfully identifying and apprehending the two suspects. The vehicles involved in the violations were impounded.
The case has been referred to the competent authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures. Ras Al Khaimah Police reaffirmed a zero-tolerance stance toward conduct that endangers community safety and public property.
In an accompanying warning, police cautioned all motorists against hazardous driving practices, specifically listing stunt driving, drifting, sudden swerving, and reckless driving as prohibited behaviour.
Authorities also cited the UAE Federal Traffic Law, which provides for strict penalties against anyone who operates a vehicle in a manner that endangers their own life or the lives of others, threatens public security, or causes damage to public or private property. Penalties under the law may include vehicle impoundment and referral of the driver to the relevant legal authorities.
