A man suffered facial injuries early yesterday when a gunman fired at his parked car on Dickenson Bay Street, shattering the window.

A gunman clad in dark clothing and a face covering opened fire on a stationary automobile shortly before dawn yesterday on Dickenson Bay Street, injuring the person inside.

Per Antigua Observer, law enforcement received emergency calls around 4 a.m. and responded to the scene. The wounded individual had been sitting in the driver's seat when the perpetrator approached and discharged a single round through the glass.

The pane splintered, and flying shards lacerated the victim's face. Paramedics rushed him to Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for medical attention.

Investigators are pursuing leads and have not yet announced any arrests.
