Officers in Antigua and Barbuda have detained a Jamaican national who is a person of interest in a killing committed in Jamaica, after locating him during a raid in Liberta on Thursday.

The apprehension was carried out by a police team that included members of the CID Task Force, as reported by Observer Media.

The individual, believed to be a resident of Cedar Valley, was discovered sitting in a commercial vehicle when the squad moved in. In his presence, officers inspected the van and took possession of various digital equipment they consider pertinent to their probe.

Following the seizure, the automobile was driven to Police Headquarters to be held securely. The suspect and the collected evidence were then transferred to the St. John's Police Station.

Law enforcement has withheld the person's identity and has not revealed specifics about the slaying he is accused of in Jamaica. Detectives say the examination is continuing.
