A shooting near a well-known venue along Queen Elizabeth Highway in the early hours of Sunday, April 26, has left a 28-year-old local resident injured and multiple automobiles with bullet damage. Officers have since placed two men under arrest in connection with the violence.

The wounded individual, who resides in Grays Farm, was in the area of a business commonly called "Timmy Times" when a silver car moved past heading west. Shots were then fired, and the man was hit. He was rushed to Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where doctors say his condition is stable. He will still require an operation.

Investigators found a weapon and a number of discharged cartridges at the location. Several vehicles left parked nearby were also struck during the barrage.

Officials emphasized that, based on what is known so far, the assault does not appear tied to organized gangs or political motives. They also stressed it was unrelated to festivities at Rising Sun Grounds that had taken place the prior night.
