Two separate armed robberies occurred in Hatton and Bendals on Friday, according to antigua.news, with police now appealing to the public for information to help identify those responsible.

The first incident took place at around 8:00 a.m. in Hatton, where officers from the Gray's Farm Police Station responded to reports of an armed robbery at a residential property. Two masked men allegedly forced their way into the home, assaulted both occupants with a firearm, and fled on foot before police arrived.

Among the items stolen were a gold chain, two cellular phones, a wallet containing identification documents and bank cards, EC$245 in cash, and a red Honda weed-wacker.

One of the Hatton suspects was described as slimly built, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, brown in complexion, and dressed in khaki three-quarter pants and a white vest. The second was described as around 5 feet 8 inches tall, dark in complexion, and wearing a dark-coloured shirt and blue three-quarter jeans pants.

The second incident was reported to the Bolans Police Station and occurred earlier the same morning, at approximately 4:50 a.m. in Bendals. A 63-year-old woman told police that two men dressed in dark clothing entered her property, snatched her jewellery, and escaped on foot. The suspects in that case were described as medium built and approximately 5 feet tall.

Both incidents have heightened concern among residents in the affected communities. Investigations into each matter remain ongoing.
