Detectives in St. John's are looking into multiple reported crimes including a hacked bank account, house and business break-ins, stolen vehicle rims and credit card fraud at a consular office.

Law enforcement officials are examining a cluster of separate criminal reports filed across the capital this week, spanning digital theft, property intrusions and financial deception.

In one matter, a professional woman told investigators that an unauthorized party accessed her banking details electronically and removed more than $19,000 in Eastern Caribbean currency from her account.

Two residential properties and a restaurant were also unlawfully entered, with money and various belongings stolen during the incidents. In another case, a business operator reported that four rims were taken from vehicles kept at his establishment.

Additionally, officers received a complaint from the United States Consular Office concerning an American national who is accused of buying a travel ticket using a counterfeit credit card.

All of these matters remain under active inquiry.
