A young man from All Saints suffered a shoulder wound during a nighttime attack on Joseph Lane in Antigua, Antigua News reports.

The 26-year-old was out walking with a friend in the vicinity of Velvet Touch when the assault occurred around midnight on Monday, November 3. He told investigators that an explosive sound rang out before he felt the impact of the projectile. Medics at Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre later confirmed he had been hit once in the left shoulder. Doctors assessed his condition as stable, with no danger to his life.

Officers are now trying to locate the attacker, who is believed to be a male of short stature—approximately 165 centimetres tall. He reportedly concealed his face beneath a violet balaclava and dressed entirely in dark garments. Bystanders noted that he sped away from the location in a charcoal-coloured Suzuki Vitara.
