Ngaio Emmanuel, who serves as Chief Magistrate, concluded that the exhibit roster provided by the Director of Public Prosecutions was missing items. The state's attorneys then sought additional time to amend and finalize the submission.

Emmanuel agreed to the request and established March 23, 2026, as the new cutoff for the prosecution to deliver a fully completed dossier. Until that happens, the proceedings will remain stalled.
