A 30-year-old man admitted to pilfering four windows from a trading firm and was handed a one-year prison term by a magistrate.

A thirty-year-old man from Martindales Road has been ordered to spend a year in jail after owning up to taking four windows from a store in Belleville.

Tramane Michael Stuart of Campaign Land appeared in the No. 2 District 'A' Magistrates' Court and accepted that on May 21 he removed four sash windows worth $1,640 from Kara's Trading on 8th Avenue.

Court records showed that employees had stored several windows in a yard ringed by wooden pallets. The next morning, four were found gone. Security cameras captured Stuart committing the act.

Following his arrest, he owned up to the deed. The presiding magistrate, Manila Renee, pointed out that Stuart already had four earlier convictions, the most recent in 2025 for narcotics and larceny.

She then passed a 12-month sentence of imprisonment.
