Christ Church Man Held Without Bail on Pair of Rape Accusations

A Regency Park resident aged 38 has been placed in custody at Dodds Prison following allegations that he attacked a woman sexually on two successive occasions. Ian Alleyne Farrell faced a magistrate at the No. 2 District A Magistrates' Court over claims that he violated the complainant on July 6 and again the following day.

Court documents suggest that during each encounter, Farrell acted without the woman's permission and either knew she objected or showed no concern for her wishes. The prosecution, led by Sergeant Gazelda Knights, urged the court to keep the defendant locked up, revealing that he had already been granted bail at two separate courts for other significant matters.

When given a chance to speak, Farrell insisted he leads a quiet life and makes his money through honest labour. Nevertheless, Magistrate Manila Renee ruled against pretrial release, ordering him to remain incarcerated until his return date on August 10.
