A 43-year-old resident of Lammings Park, St Joseph, is now being questioned by detectives after he walked into a police station in the capital.

Shane Callender arrived at the District 'B' Police Station on 28 March together with a relative, according to Barbados Today. His surrender came just twenty-four hours after the force released a notice naming him as someone investigators urgently needed to locate.

The bulletin, circulated on 27 March, had urged anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to come forward. Officers did not reveal the nature of the case they are probing, stating only that the man's cooperation was sought.

After Callender reported to the station of his own accord, the constabulary thanked citizens and the press for their role in publicising the appeal. He remains detained while enquiries proceed.

The Barbados Police Service has not indicated whether charges will follow.
