Youth Held in Custody After Charges Over Attack on U.S. Tourists at Savvy on the Bay

An 18-year-old resident of Buckingham Road, Bank Hall, St Michael, has been ordered held in jail following accusations tied to a brutal incident involving American visitors at Savvy on the Bay during May.

Rashad Alexander Williams stood before Acting Chief Magistrate Douglas Frederick to answer multiple charges. Prosecutors allege that on May 17, Williams deliberately caused grave physical injury to Darin Sisco, with the aim of permanently harming him. He is also accused of stealing two chains worth one thousand U.S. dollars and a smartphone valued at eight hundred U.S. dollars from Sisco. Larraine Sisco was allegedly robbed of a mobile device worth the same amount.

Court documents further claim that Williams, acting alongside a group, took part in violent conduct that would make any ordinary bystander afraid for their wellbeing. A distinct allegation accuses him of attacking Cairo Yearwood on June 22. The magistrate did not record any pleas.

The case has widened considerably, with eleven additional people now implicated in the May 17 affair. Named co-accused include Joshua Greg Belgrave, aged 21; Addagio Marlon Bostic, 18; Leonardo Ricardo Allsopp, 26; Chad Seon Codrington, 18; Donte Richardo Sealy, 18; Seth Ethan Griffith, 23; Kenavar Antwan Charles, 18; and Xavier Xalico Joseph, 19. All hail from various parts of St Michael. Three minors are also part of the case. The entire group is scheduled to appear again on July 21.
