A man who had been the subject of a police manhunt in Barbados has voluntarily come forward. Dwayne Marlon Drakes presented himself at Holetown Police Station on Wednesday, according to an announcement from the Barbados Police Service (TBPS). The 37-year-old, who goes by the alias "Oily," had been sought in relation to grave criminal offences.
Officials had circulated a wanted notice the previous Tuesday, urging anyone with knowledge of his location to come forward. After Drakes turned himself in, the force extended its thanks to citizens and journalists alike for their role in the successful appeal.
Investigators are now questioning the suspect as part of their ongoing enquiries.
