A 36-year-old man was shot dead in Fox Hill on Sunday evening after armed attackers chased him through the streets and fled in a small silver car.

A 36-year-old man lost his life in a deadly shooting on the evening of Sunday, 12th July 2026, in the Fox Hill area of Nassau. Law enforcement officials have opened a homicide inquiry into the incident, which unfolded on Armbrister Street.

The sequence of events began shortly after 7:00 p.m., when gunfire registered on ShotSpotter equipment near the intersection of Davis and Armbrister Streets. Patrol officers from the Fox Hill Division arrived at the location and located a male with multiple bullet wounds across his body. Bystanders transported him to the hospital using a private vehicle, but physicians were unable to save him and he passed away soon after reaching the facility.

Investigators believe the deceased was relaxing in a yard alongside other people next to an unpainted dwelling when a silver Nissan Cube approached from the north and halted. A pair of men stepped out, moved toward the group, and began discharging weapons at the 36-year-old. He bolted down Davis Street in an effort to evade the assault, yet the pair ran after him, still firing. He fell on Armbrister Street, where he succumbed.

Afterward, the attackers ran back to their vehicle, headed north on Armbrister Street, turned onto Romer Street, and vanished. Detectives are actively pursuing leads as the probe moves forward.
