Google News CA — Crime (EN) reports that three men have been charged in connection with the alleged manufacturing and trafficking of methamphetamine pills in Quebec, following an RCMP investigation that began in the fall of 2024.

Jean‑Sébastien Sévigny, 30, of Venise-en-Québec, and Guillaume Joly, 31, of Sainte-Marcelline-de-Kildare, face charges of production, trafficking and possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking. Guillaume Bourgault, 30, of Montreal, is charged with trafficking and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

A clandestine methamphetamine production lab, found inside a small warehouse in Bromont, was dismantled in May 2025. The operation took seven days to complete. "It was a sophisticated lab, and the dismantling took seven days, which is a very long time for this kind of lab," said RCMP Cst. Marie-Pierre Guertin.

In total, nearly four million tablets were seized, along with 5.8 kg of pure methamphetamine, significant quantities of chemicals and laboratory equipment used to manufacture drugs, the RCMP said.

Guertin added there were no indications the operation was linked to other organized crime networks.

The three accused are scheduled to appear at the Granby courthouse on August 24.
