Police in York Region are hunting three men after a weekend smash-and-grab at a Richmond Hill shop where suspects used a metal tool to break display cases and fled with electronics.

A pair of men wielding a metal implement burst into a Richmond Hill retail outlet on Sunday, shattered glass showcases, and grabbed electronic merchandise before escaping in a pickup operated by an accomplice, York Regional Police report.

Patrol units were dispatched at roughly 3:20 p.m. to the intersection of High Tech Road and Red Maple Road. Investigators state the two intruders used at least one metallic object to smash the protective glass, seized various devices, and then ran out to a black Ford F250. The truck, reported stolen earlier from Toronto, was subsequently seen travelling south along Highway 404.

Authorities circulated descriptions of the two individuals who entered the premises. The first is said to be a Caucasian man in his thirties, about five feet six inches tall, dressed in an orange shirt, grey trousers, white footwear, a black-and-white cap, a face mask, and gloves. A distinctive tattoo on his right forearm displays four sizable characters.

The second man is also believed to be Caucasian and between 30 and 40 years of age. He wore a navy T-shirt, denim jeans, white shoes, and a dark cap, and bears an elaborate floral tattoo across his left upper arm.

No details were gathered regarding the driver.
