Two supporters of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team, both originating from Germany, were arrested in Toronto during a World Cup qualifier match. They are accused of attacking police officers and throwing objects at them.

The incident occurred before kickoff of the match between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Canada. According to Canadian police, altercations broke out in the Bosnian fan block. When officers attempted to remove one spectator from the stadium, the situation escalated.

Additional police units were called to the scene. After the situation was brought under control, two officers were found to have sustained minor injuries. They received medical treatment on site.

The arrested individuals are two men aged 25 and 27, affiliated with a Bosnian supporter group. Canadian authorities released their names: Emir C. and Eldar G., both from Germany.

The pair has been charged with assaulting a police officer. They are scheduled to appear before a judge on Saturday, who will decide whether they can be released on bail.

Toronto Police are seeking witnesses to the incident and asking anyone with information to come forward.
