Vancouver man charged with 21 counts after firearms, drugs seized at home

Dylan James Kennedy, a British Columbia man, faces 21 weapons and drug charges after Canadian border agents uncovered a cache of firearms and narcotics at a Vancouver residence, Global News Crime reports.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) says an August 2024 search of the home — conducted with assistance from Vancouver Police — turned up six firearms, among them 3D-printed pistols and a semi-automatic rifle, along with multiple replica firearms, ammunition, and gun parts. Cocaine, ketamine, amphetamines, and ecstasy pills were also seized.

Charges were filed on March 31, following a border services criminal investigation. Kennedy appeared in Vancouver court on April 7 and has since been released on bail pending trial.

He is accused of multiple counts each of careless storage of a firearm, possession of an unregistered firearm, possession of a prohibited firearm, and drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.
