A male suspect was taken into custody following gunfire directed at a parked automobile in a Georgetown park parking area.

Gunfire erupted Monday afternoon in the lot of Dominion Gardens Park in Georgetown. Halton Regional Police stated the incident occurred shortly after 5 p.m.

Responding officers found a parked automobile had been struck by bullets. Individuals were present nearby when the shots rang out, yet nobody sustained injuries from the gunfire.

Law enforcement considers the attack deliberate rather than random. The following day, detectives apprehended a male individual connected to the case. Prosecutors are still determining specific charges.
