Stabbing and assault at Woodbine Beach, Toronto: suspects sought

One person was stabbed and another assaulted at Woodbine Beach in Toronto on Friday night. Both victims were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Stabbing and assault at Woodbine Beach leave two victims hospitalized

Toronto Police is seeking to identify a group of young male suspects following a stabbing and assault at Woodbine Beach on Friday evening, Toronto Sun Crime reports.

Officers responded at approximately 8:50 p.m. to the beach area near Lake Shore Blvd. and Woodbine Ave., in the city's east end, after a stabbing was reported.

According to police, two victims were approached by a group of several suspects at the beach. A verbal confrontation escalated into a physical altercation, during which one suspect allegedly produced a knife and stabbed one of the victims.

Both victims were transported to hospital. Police confirmed neither injury was life-threatening.

Investigators described the suspects as males in their late teens to early 20s. No further descriptions have been released.
