According to zone911.com, the Integrated Weapons Trafficking Enforcement Team (EILTA) and the National Organised Crime Reduction Squad (ENRCO) conducted two major operations targeting drug and weapons trafficking networks in Saint-Agapit, Saint-Édouard-de-Lotbinière, Saint-Apollinaire, Montmagny and Quebec.
First strike: investigation initiated in September 2025
The first operation targeted an organisation active in drug and weapons trafficking in the Quebec region. A search of a residence on Avenue de la Lande, conducted jointly with the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ), resulted in the seizure of several items:
- An air rifle
- A .22 calibre rifle declared stolen in the firearms registration database
- An imitation handgun
- A nunchaku
- Approximately 6,000 methamphetamine tablets
- Nearly 1,000 Canadian dollars
- A mobile phone and an accounting list
A 33-year-old man was arrested at the scene before being released pending further investigation.
Second strike: investigation initiated in March 2026, link to North Savage Gang
The second operation targeted an organisation associated with the North Savage Gang (NSG), involved in drug trafficking and armed violence in the Quebec and Chaudière-Appalaches regions. Searches of vehicles and residences spread across Saint-Agapit, Saint-Édouard-de-Lotbinière, Saint-Apollinaire, Montmagny and Quebec resulted in significant seizures:
- Approximately 57,000 methamphetamine tablets and 500 g of crystal methamphetamine
- Approximately 770 g of cocaine, several contaminated envelopes and 56 g of crack
- A P80 9 mm calibre handgun, four air rifles, one crossbow
- An AR15 weapon carcass manufactured using 3D printing, accompanied by a 3D printer and an SD card
- Accounting documents
- More than 79,000 Canadian dollars
- 12 mobile phones
