A routine patrol in Burlington resulted in a major weapons and drug seizure when an officer stopped a car just after 4 a.m. on June 3. The vehicle was parked at a gas station near the corner of Walkers Line and Harvester Road, as detailed by the Toronto Sun.

According to Halton Regional Police, the driver was alone and had concealed his face. The officer detained him on suspicion of impaired driving and then inspected the automobile.

Inside, law enforcement allegedly found two handguns and a stash of controlled substances. One weapon was a 9 mm Glock containing nine bullets. The other was a .40-calibre Glock with 14 extra rounds in its clip. The narcotics included roughly 150 oxycodone tablets, an equal number of Xanax pills, 40 hydromorphone tablets, and 50 grams of crack cocaine.

The suspect, identified as 46-year-old Leslie Prince from Etobicoke, was slapped with two dozen accusations. These encompass impaired operation, multiple trafficking-related possession counts, firearm mishandling, and several charges tied to keeping unlicensed weapons inside a car.
