A 44-year-old man from Toronto faces multiple charges following a violent robbery earlier this month that sent the victim to hospital with severe injuries.

Toronto Police responded to a call on June 12 at approximately 5 p.m. near Dundas Street East and Broadview Avenue, east of the downtown core. Investigators said the victim was unloading their vehicle when a male suspect approached without provocation, assaulted them, and stole their belongings before fleeing.

The injured party was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening wounds.

Officers arrested Jefferson Henry on Saturday. He now faces charges of robbery, aggravated assault, and two counts of breaching probation.
