North York "homeopath life coach" arrested on six sexual assault charges
A 57-year-old Toronto man has been charged with sexually assaulting clients he met through services he advertised as an "energy healer," astrologer, masseuse, and "homeopath life coach" in North York, Toronto Sun Crime reports.
Toronto Police say officers responded to a sexual assault complaint near Sheppard Ave. E. and Leslie St. on June 2. The alleged offences span a period of nearly seven years, from January 1, 2018, to December 31, 2024.
Jai Veer Etvaru, of Toronto, was arrested on Thursday. He faces four counts of sexual assault, one count of sexual interference, and one count of sexual exploitation. Police note that Etvaru may also be known as Jai Mangal Krishnanad.
The charge of sexual interference indicates at least one alleged victim is under the age of 16. Sexual exploitation charges are typically laid when an accused held a position of authority over the victim.
According to police, Etvaru used the website www.jaiwellbeing.com to advertise his services, which also included counselling and astrology.
Investigators have released a photograph of Etvaru, citing concern that there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.
