Officers with the Quebec City Police Service responded to multiple emergency calls shortly after 11 a.m. regarding an injured individual on Vitré Avenue, located in the Limoilou neighbourhood.

Patrol units arrived promptly and found a male victim, aged 33, who was subsequently taken to hospital. Medical authorities indicated his condition was stable and not considered life-threatening.

Authorities cordoned off the area to preserve evidence. Vitré Avenue remains closed to vehicles travelling in both directions between 23rd Street and 24th Street.

A police canine unit conducted searches nearby. Investigators and forensic identification technicians are currently examining the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
