The attacker himself did not survive the encounter. Officers on site recovered the firearm employed during the rampage.

A female colleague was struck during the operation and required urgent medical attention. While her injuries were initially life-threatening, medical teams have since managed to stabilize her vital signs.

Local emergency management had issued a public safety warning about an armed hostile in the vicinity, which was withdrawn once the situation was brought under control. Fady Dagher, who leads the municipal police force, spoke to the press about the bloodshed. He confirmed the primary suspect no longer posed any danger and characterized what transpired as both catastrophic and horrifying.
