Calgary Police have identified the man killed in a shooting on August 30 as Harjas Ahluwalia, 25, of Punjabi origin, tribuneindia.com reports.

An autopsy carried out on September 1 by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed the identification. The manner of death has been ruled a homicide.

Ahluwalia was found dead in the 1100 block of Cornerstone Boulevard in North East Calgary. Investigators believe the shooting was targeted.

No arrests have been made. Police have appealed to the public for any information that could assist the ongoing investigation.
