The Montreal Police Service (SPVM) has arrested four teenagers in connection with the murder of Geovani Ray Robbins, 22, according to ici.radio-canada.ca. The incident occurred on Tuesday, shortly after 4:30 p.m., in a Walmart store located on Boulevard Henri-Bourassa in the Montreal-North borough.

The four accused are all 15 years old and reside in Montreal-North and Saint-Léonard. They were to appear in court on Thursday.

The victim, originally from Edmonton in Alberta, was reportedly stabbed during a confrontation inside the store. One of the suspects reportedly inflicted a wound to the upper body with a sharp object. Robbins succumbed to his injuries in the hours following his transport to hospital. No motive has been communicated by authorities.

Geovani Ray Robbins had been arrested on 14 April in Longueuil for assault and for breaching conditions of his release.

This murder is the ninth to occur on Montreal territory in 2026. A tenth was carried out during the night of Wednesday in Turin Park, in the Villeray borough.
