Shots were fired at a dwelling in Kitchener, Ontario, shortly before dawn on Monday in what authorities describe as a deliberate attack.

Waterloo Regional Police received reports of gunfire near the junction of Sims Estate Drive and Fairway Road North at approximately 2:50 a.m. Responding officers found the front of a home riddled with projectile impacts, as reported by Yahoo News Canada.

Fortunately, no occupants were harmed. Witness accounts indicate a dark-colored SUV fled the scene at high velocity immediately following the discharge.

Police have increased their visibility in the vicinity while detectives pursue leads. Members of the public possessing doorbell cameras, dashcam footage, or any knowledge of the event are encouraged to reach out to investigators.
