Finnish-born fashion mogul Peter Nygård convicted again in Canadian sex crimes trial

A Canadian court has found Peter Nygård guilty of yet another sexual offense, CBC reports, citing Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. The Finnish-born fashion executive had already been sentenced to 11 years behind bars in a separate case last year.

The 84-year-old did not challenge the evidence brought forward by prosecutors during these proceedings. The incidents under review date back to the 1990s. Prosecutors had filed charges against him in 2022, according to the British Broadcasting Corporation.

In the earlier conviction handed down in 2024, Nygård was found responsible for sexually exploiting three adult women and a 16-year-old girl between 1988 and 2005.
