Ontario man facing stunt driving charges while awaiting trial for fatal Brampton crash

A 20-year-old from Woodstock already charged over a deadly 2024 Brampton collision was arrested again for stunt driving in Mississauga on April 23.

Woodstock man clocked at 102 km/h while awaiting trial for 2024 fatal crash

A 20-year-old Ontario man already facing charges linked to a deadly collision is now facing additional stunt driving charges, Global News Crime reports.

The Woodstock resident was pulled over just after 1 a.m. on April 23 near Winston Churchill Boulevard and Argentia Road in Mississauga, after officers observed him travelling at high speed. Police said the traffic stop was conducted without incident.

The driver was charged with stunt driving, speeding at 102 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone, failing to surrender his driver's licence, and operating a vehicle contrary to emissions regulations. He also received an immediate 30-day licence suspension and a 14-day vehicle impoundment.

The man was previously arrested following a fatal collision in Brampton on Nov. 24, 2024. He faces one count of dangerous driving causing death and two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm in connection with that incident. That case has yet to go to trial.
