Rexdale shooting — second-degree murder charge
A 30-year-old Toronto man has been charged with second-degree murder after Anthony Taylor, 28, was fatally shot Sunday evening in Rexdale. Toronto Police said officers responded around 8 p.m. to a call at an apartment building in the Queen's Plate Dr.–Rexdale Blvd. area, east of Woodbine Racetrack. Taylor was found suffering from a gunshot wound; life-saving measures were performed, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mississauga stabbing — fugitive arrested weeks later
A 28-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with a fatal stabbing in Mississauga last month. Peel Regional Police said officers responded on 19 May at 12:15 p.m. to reports of a stabbing near Hurontario and Agnes Sts. The victim, identified as Chay Wilson, 32, of Mississauga, was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is alleged that Wilson and the accused became involved in a physical altercation in a nearby car park, during which Wilson was stabbed. A nationwide warrant was subsequently issued for Jerome Edwards, who has no fixed address. Peel police said Edwards was arrested on Friday in the area of The Queensway and Kipling Ave. in Etobicoke.

Agincourt — man charged after alleged sexual assault of eight-year-old
A 32-year-old Toronto man has been charged following an alleged sexual assault involving an eight-year-old girl at a retail store in Agincourt last month. Toronto Police said officers responded shortly before 4 p.m. on 12 May to a report of a sexual assault in the Finch Ave. E.–McCowan Rd. area.
Police said the accused allegedly approached the girl inside the store, assaulted her, and followed her within the premises. The accused allegedly grabbed the victim, who alerted family members. A family member confronted the suspect before he fled on foot. Iman Behdar was charged Monday with sexual assault and sexual interference.

Subway stations — weapons charges after emergency alarm incidents
A 20-year-old Toronto man is facing multiple weapons charges following incidents at two subway stations over the weekend. Toronto Police said officers responded Saturday at 1:37 a.m. to a person-with-a-gun call in the Coxwell and Danforth Aves. area.
It is alleged the man entered two subway stations and activated the emergency alarm on both occasions, cutting power to trains approaching the stations. A man was subsequently located and arrested; a firearm was allegedly found and seized at the time.
Elijah Mandal-Allen was charged with two counts of mischief, unauthorised possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorised, and possession of a weapon.
