Quebec City police have apprehended a man who had been on the run for approximately a year and a half. Denis Cayer was located and taken into custody on June 4, 2026, in New Brunswick, according to Journal de Québec.

Law enforcement had been pursuing the individual since November 2024 as part of a narcotics investigation. An arrest warrant had been issued, forcing him to flee Quebec and seek refuge elsewhere.

The suspect is believed to be involved in the ongoing conflict pitting several criminal organizations against the Hells Angels. Among the groups competing in this territorial dispute are the Blood Family Mafia, the North Savage Gang, as well as independent traffickers. Authorities have not yet been able to formally establish which faction the man belongs to.

The Urban Violence Module of the Quebec City Police Service played a key role in this operation, working alongside the coordinator for external affairs and fugitive apprehension. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police also participated in the intervention that led to the suspect's capture.
