Law enforcement officers apprehended twelve individuals during coordinated operations conducted throughout Monday night across Cyprus, as reported by Cyprus Mail.

Those detained face accusations spanning unlawful residence, break-ins, stealing, knife attacks, and inflicting physical injury on others.

Throughout the course of these nocturnal actions, authorities pulled over and examined 446 automobiles. They also verified the identities of 574 individuals behind the wheel and riding as passengers. In total, 227 citations were issued. The majority — 66 in number — related to surpassing permitted velocity thresholds. Additionally, one motorist was cited for operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol, and another for being impaired by narcotics while driving.

The sweep demonstrates sustained efforts by Cypriot police to tackle criminal conduct and road safety breaches nationwide.
