During coordinated night-time operations across the island, officers detained eleven individuals on suspicion of various criminal activities, primarily involving controlled substances, larceny, and infliction of serious bodily injury.
Traffic enforcement formed a major component of the crackdown. Personnel stopped 473 automobiles and inspected both operators and 201 occupants. These checks yielded 304 citations for road violations, including 84 instances of exceeding speed limits. One motorist faced charges for operating a vehicle while intoxicated by alcohol, while two others were reported for driving under the influence of narcotics. Seven vehicles were seized by authorities.
Beyond traffic matters, law enforcement inspected 29 commercial premises and issued three violation notices.
Officials stated that such large-scale nocturnal operations are designed to combat unlawful conduct and reinforce public safety perceptions among residents.
