Two men arrested after Kyrenia raid nets cannabis and cocaine stash

A police raid in Kyrenia led to the arrest of two men and the seizure of over nine kilograms of cannabis plus a quantity of cocaine. Officers also found cash and equipment used for packing narcotics.

Officers carried out a raid in Kyrenia on Friday that resulted in the arrest of two men and the recovery of a significant quantity of illegal drugs, according to Cyprus Mail.

Law enforcement searched premises believed to be connected to narcotics activity. During the operation, they found just over nine kilograms of cannabis, along with 300 grammes of cocaine. A machine used for packaging substances was also discovered on site.

In addition to the drugs and equipment, police collected money from the location. The cash consisted of 6,275 Turkish lira and €200 in euro notes.

The individuals detained are 28 and 24 years old. Following the search, both were placed under arrest and subsequently remanded by the authorities.
