Youth held after knife assault in Limassol
Following a late-night altercation in Limassol, a man aged twenty has been placed under preventive detention. Magistrates approved a brief custody period—four days—to help officers look into claims that he wounded a nineteen-year-old companion with a blade.
The incident is said to have unfolded shortly after one in the morning on Friday, near a commercial property in the town. The complainant, who required sutures on his scalp and scapula, was taken to a medical facility where he is now conscious and progressing well, with no immediate threat to his health.
Investigators obtained judicial permission to seize the alleged attacker, who appeared before the bench on Friday and was ordered remanded.
