Nine individuals were placed under arrest during after-dark operations conducted by officers throughout the island, according to Cyprus Mail.

The apprehensions stem from various infractions encompassing larceny, substance offences and lack of legal authorisation to remain in the Republic. These statistics emerged from vehicle checkpoints and establishment inspections carried out once the sun had set.

Personnel halted 602 automobiles and examined 741 occupants in total. Across all checks, 249 penalty notices were drawn up. The largest category involved velocity violations, numbering 92. One driver was additionally processed for being impaired by controlled substances behind the wheel.

Beyond road safety, constables entered 40 locations as part of efforts to suppress unlawful conduct. Four automobiles were also impounded throughout the duration of the crackdown.
