On Friday evening in Oulu, an act of violence occurred in which an assailant on a bicycle struck another man with a bladed weapon in the back. The incident took place near the junction of Joutsentie and Kainuntie shortly before 8 p.m.
The victim, who was walking, is of foreign origin. He was taken for treatment to Oulu University Hospital. According to preliminary information, his injuries are not life-threatening.
The suspect left the scene towards Kaukovainio along a light traffic route. Police released several photographs of the suspect on Saturday and are now asking the public for information to establish the suspect's identity.
