Folk music performer Cristian Pomohaci has failed to obtain the cancellation of the liberty-restricting measure in either of the two criminal cases opened against him. Judges in Târgu Mureș have rejected all appeals lodged by his defence team.
Regarding the charges of a sexual nature, the County Tribunal has taken note of the appeal filed against the order from 4 June 2026, through which deprivation of liberty for one month had been ordered. On 11 June, the court considered that the measure was lawful and justified, rejecting the artist's request as unfounded. This decision cannot be appealed further.
In parallel, the Court of Appeal in the same city has upheld the decision on his detention in the second case, which concerns high-risk psychoactive substances.
The investigation was initiated following raids carried out at the homes of the entertainment figure. Authorities found 20 grammes of 3-CMC, material classified as a dangerous drug, plus the equivalent of approximately two million euros in various coins.
