Magistrates have rejected an appeal filed by singer Cristian Pomohaci against the preventive custody measure ordered in the high-risk drug trafficking case. The decision of Mureș County Court is final, according to information published on the judicial courts portal and cited by TVR Info.

The court's ruling upholds the decision by which the man was remanded in custody for 30 days. The case is being handled by officers from the Organized Crime Fighting Brigade in Târgu Mureș, together with prosecutors from DIICOT – Târgu Mureș Territorial Service.

Investigators contend that between 2024 and 2026, the defendant allegedly procured, possessed and made available to several people, for consumption purposes, various quantities of high-risk drugs in crystalline form. The man was already in preventive custody in another case, for rape and sexual assault of a minor.

During a search carried out at his home in Târgu Mureș, law enforcement discovered an unspecified quantity of 3-CMC substance, a high-risk drug, as well as nearly two million euros in various currencies.

In addition to the drug trafficking case, Pomohaci has another pending appeal at Mureș County Court, filed against preventive custody in the case in which he is being investigated for rape of a minor and sexual assault. The ruling in this second case has been postponed.
