A coordinated effort between law enforcement and customs officials has led to the recovery of a substantial quantity of cannabis and the arrest of three individuals in the Irish capital.

During Tuesday's targeted operation, officers first located 56.5kg of herbal cannabis with a projected market value of €1.13 million. Further searches uncovered an extra 4kg of the drug, worth about €80,000.

In addition to the narcotics, investigators took possession of €2,900 in banknotes and a machine designed for tallying money.

The suspects—one in his thirties, another in his forties, and a third in his fifties—are being interviewed at police facilities in Dublin's northern and western districts. The investigation is continuing.

An official statement from the force placed the overall value of the seized substances at €1.21 million.
