Gardaí seized cocaine, cannabis, cash exceeding €21,500, sterling, and a designer gold ring during searches at two homes in Loughrea. Two males were detained.

Gardaí carried out searches at two residential properties in Loughrea and seized illegal drugs, cash, jewellery, and a vehicle. The operation was conducted by the Divisional Drugs Unit.

During the first search, officers found quantities of cocaine and cannabis. They also confiscated a car and a designer gold ring worth close to €5,000.

A second property was also searched, where cocaine with an estimated street value of €16,000 was uncovered. A substantial amount of money was recovered as well.

In total, Gardaí seized over €21,500 in euro currency and £6,885 in sterling.

Two males were taken into custody following the raids. One is in his thirties and the other is a teenager. Both were held at a Garda station in the area.
