Serious assault at Pearse House leaves man hospitalised

A man in his 50s was seriously injured following an assault at Pearse House in Dublin's south inner city on Monday night, fm104.ie reports.

Gardaí and emergency services were alerted shortly before 9pm on Monday, 23rd February 2026, after the man was attacked at the flat complex on Pearse House, Dublin 2.

He was treated at the scene before being taken by ambulance to hospital with serious injuries.

In a statement, Gardaí confirmed: "Gardaí and emergency services were alerted shortly before 9pm on Monday 23rd February 2026 after a male in his 50s was seriously assaulted in the course of an incident at Pearse House, Dublin 2. The male was treated at the scene and removed by ambulance to hospital with serious injuries. The scene is preserved for examination and investigations are ongoing."

The scene has been preserved for forensic examination. Gardaí say their investigation remains ongoing.
